NONO, the renowned furniture company based in Mexico City, has announced Joel Escalona as their new Creative Director and Head of Product. With over a decade of experience as a Product Design Director, Joel brings a wealth of expertise and innovation to the NONO team. He will be responsible for developing and executing successful demand generation campaigns, implementing a service design strategy for high-price ecommerce, and unifying the product assortment, sourcing strategy, and product development process to further fuel brand relevance.

At 32, ESCALONA is already one of Mexico’s top designers. He’s constantly in motion, working across disciplines, which perhaps explains why so many of his projects address the physics of movement.

The anthology titled Laws of Motion is a series of different typologies such as mirrors, tables, and seating that articulate the great rigor in the productive execution of the company and the level of introspection achieved by the celebrated designer. Only available in a limited edition of nine pieces, plus two author's proofs, each functional sculpture of immaculate silhouette combines materials such as oak, marble, and metal that, when carefully transformed by Breuer, demonstrate the unique result that is achieved through their bespoke carpentry.
