NONO INSPIRATION: INSIDE ATELIER BRANCUSI
INSPIRATION
Rumanian sculptor Constantin Brancusi dedicated his last years as an artist to build exceptional pieces of art in the heart of his studio in Paris. Brancusi developed an intense relationship between his studio and his creations, to the point of only exhibiting his art pieces there. Whenever one of his sculptures was sold, immediately he replaced them with a copy to configure and preserve a complete body of work within his studio.
For Brancusi the relationship of his sculptures with the space that hosts them was quite relevant. Proof of this are his works created in 1910 at the workshop, named "mobile groups", to emphasize the importance of the relationship of the works to each other and the possibilities of mobility of each one within the ensemble.
Until his death in 1957, Constantin Brancusi occupied, successively, the studios of number 8 and number 11 of the impasse Ronsin, in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, showing his clear passion to keep his ideals connected to his art production.
Now you know where to go if you are a fan of Constantin Brancusi's work!
